The Unveiling of Heart




The heart is one of the most important organs in the entire human body. It is really nothing more than a pump, composed of muscle which pumps blood throughout the body, beating approximately 72 times per minute of our lives. The heart pumps the blood, which carries all the vital materials which help our bodies function and removes the waste products that we do not need. For example, the brain requires oxygen and glucose, which, if not received continuously, will cause it to loose consciousness. Muscles need oxygen, glucose and amino acids, as well as the proper ratio of sodium, calcium and potassium salts in order to contract normally. The glands need sufficient supplies of raw materials from which to manufacture the specific secretions. If the heart ever ceases to pump blood the body begins to shut down and after a very short period of time will die.

I attend Salpointe Catholic High School and we have an extensive humanities program in which we have to create a museum project where we find historical artifacts dealing with a certain theme, my group has Justice, and how it relates to the Preamble from the Declaration of Independence. I chose your painting as a depiction of Martin Luther King Jr. and his struggle to overcome the injustices of his time.



I wanted to credit your painting of Martin Luther King Jr. and I was just wondering what name I could use and all of the copyright information.
If that isn't too difficult it would be much appreciated.

Unveiling of my 20th painting the Baptism of Jesus!




In the synoptic gospels, Jesus is baptised by John the Baptist. In these accounts, John preaches repentance before the coming judgment, baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and the imminent arrival of one far greater than he. Jesus comes to the Jordan River and is baptised there by John. After the baptism, the heavens open, the holy spirit like a dove descends, and a heavenly voice acclaims Jesus is his Son. Jesus then goes into the wilderness where the devil tempts him, and when he returns he begins his ministry.

This is a video combining the Questor with One Republic's: Stop @ Stare!

Galaxy 2 is a synthesis of many celestial bodies revealing the beauty of our universe. In January 2002, a faint star on the outer edges of the Milky Way flared to 600,000 times the luminosity of the Sun. By April the flare had subsided but its echoes were still reaching Earth years later. This remarkable time lapse bloom is conjured from light bounced back from ever wider shells of debris ejected by V838 Monocerotis during a previous outburst. In the painting this would be the center.
On the left side of the painting is an Eagle Nebula- hewn from a dense cloud of hydrogen by a torrent of plasma, this iconic stagalamite is replete with compact pockets of gas dubbed Evaporating Gas Globules or EGGs. Within many EGGs, protostars are quickening in a race against time as their sustaining gas yolk is boiled away by photoevaporation.
On the bottom right is the Sun with the energy of up to a billion megatons of TNT, solar flares can hurl clouds of plasma into space a velocities approaching the speed of light and cover a region the size of many Earths. This eruption measured over 100,000 kilometers (62,000 miles) in height. Solar flares are believed to result from the violent release of the magnetic energy from the area surrounding sunspots.
On the right side of the painting is Pleiades- the ancient Greeks recognized Pleiades, as the children of Atlas. Their blue veil is a passing dust cloud!

Warrior Princess
She is a woman of her own will. She will not sit around to be rescued. She gathers her men for an all out battle to the end! It is a struggle to regain the kingdom for her father. she, with her army, has caused chaos and anarchy, but once they have taken out the enemy she will re-establish the power of her father's kingdom where she will promise to rule in a benevolent fashion.

Patricia, I'll Remember You
There are no better words than in Mr. Decker's lyrics written in tribute to you a teacher, a mentor, a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a friend. "I recall the sun shining in a room, with children learning all the while. I remember laughter, a life in a bloom, I remember your smile. I thought I saw a flash. I know I heard a voice, and many people were transformed. I saw you make a difference, you touched so many lives, from you many new days were born. If there's a footprint, in everything we do, it's seen in how we change the lives, of everyone we knew. It's locked in hearts and memories, and treasured like a jewel...I'll remember you!" -words by Marc David Decker 2006-

The unveiling of Patricia, I'll Remember You

This is based off of Mr. Decker's song. I tried to include all the things that she would include in her curriculum in order for a kid to express him or herself. I hope I did her justice because this was truly a labor of love.

Molecular Structure of Nucleic Acids: Watson and Crick put forward a radically different structure for the salt of deoxyribose nucleic acid. One remarkable thing about the DNA molecule is that it can build an exact copy of iteself. A standard biology textbook states: "The process of duplicating itself is known as replication. During replication, enzymes break the weak hydrogen bonds, the bases of the nucleotides. DNA separates into two halves, and this separation exposes the nucleotide bases to its complementary base- Adenine to Thymine, Guanine to Cytosine." This painting celebrates the marvel discovery of these two scientists, and depicts the beauty of their discovery.

Dare we Ask?: The viewer faces the captivating beauty. The rollings hills, the crystal blue waters, the enchanted forest, the palatial castle, and the spacious greenhouse creates a peaceful serenity. The "No Trespassing" sign enforces a sense of security. An open gate? is something in the water? Is there someone hiding? Invisible to the eye danger is all around, but can we see it? An underlying false sense of security is pervasive throughout the painting. Even though the viewer can only be enamored by the surroundings!

Justice for All: Equality for all people is a universal battle that engages all of us. The fight for justice is rooted in a human struggle towards this basic human right.

If you ever get a chance to view this painting I tried to depict all the early black leaders, and the leader who declared the Emancipation Proclamation. The struggle for freedom continues today throughout the world with all people!!! A chance for being treated with decency and fairness!!!

Fire Department New York Tribute: The destruction of the twin towers turned a page in history. The courage and strength of our firefighters brought a new meaning to the concept of hero. This painting was lucky enough to be displayed at the Museum of Burbank Firefighters and Police for about six months in 2003. I want to thank Firechief Pansini.

I was able to visit New York in 2006, and one of the firefighters placed a copy of this painting on the outside window of the Firestation that is directly across from the Twin tower site!!! So if you are ever in New York let me know if you saw it.

The Questor: A knight, a soldier, a prince, a conqueror for the ages. He leaves everything behind because he is searching for his lost love. He is reminded of her beauty, her gentleness, her kindness, and her strength. He tries hard not to lose focus of his quest to save his loved one from an evil force who has entrapped her for his own pleasure. Of all the paintings I see this one becoming an animated feature. I have developed a story that I will try to describe in more detail later on.

Interiors-Space Station involves different degrees of jeopardy and hanging on to one's sanity, as an astronaut must cope quickly and directly with the immediacies and perils of each situation.

King William Street is a mosaic of city life that brings together both the old and the new and perceives it in Circlist fashion. The Masters have set the way and directed us towards the road of fulfillment. It is now time for the Apprentices to take what they've learned and apply it.

Heaven and Hell we all have a choice between getting lost in hate or finding the truth and reconciliation within oneself. The Hell we all await is truly painful and as punishing as one can imagine. If one is willing to take the road of righteousness and travel through the river of Penitence, God is waiting.

Melody on the Hill juxtaposes different landscapes in relation to one another. A mysterious figure stands in the middle of a vibrating earth.

Life Force takes the viewer on a journey that once begun takes on a life of its own. The process of birth is a journey into the unknown world that must be taken by all who enter it. The journey doesn't end with birth. Birth is only the beginning. As a Chinese dissident once stated, "One must learn the world well for it is home to all of us."

Japanese Garden takes Circlism to the next level. Shapes and figures can be utilized to project all kinds of different images. The garden connects by bridging concepts of both family and nature together as one.

True Love is a projection of landmasses in love that have been thrown together side by side. The love that is shared makes them grow more deeply attached to one another.

Galaxy is a complete Circlist painting. This piece reaches deep into the formation of the planets, stars, and consciousness. These planetary bodies come together in relation to our understanding of the universe by committee or council. Order brings about chaos and visa-versa. This piece allows us to see how justice is served!

                                                                                     

The Chase involves the fact that, no matter what, you can't get away because everyone has his or her eye on you. This concept can be traced to Ray Bradbury in which the media's attention to the chase becomes so captivating. We all want to tune in to see what happens!!!

The next painting is entitled Orchard. Orchard is a combination of several techniques. Circlism is slowly emerging as a concept in itself. Lovers mark the tree, and find their own personal domain, as they possess it.

After the debacle of losing my domain name, I want to make sure that the paintings can always be somewhere that people can view them. I have claimed circlism.com for one hundred years, but I will also post them here for security reasons.

I have started and am making progress on my 18th painting. I want to have it finished on or before July 10th. It is a tribute to my sister who passed away two years ago.

My name is Edward C. Stresino,
The breakthrough occured in highschool. In my sophomore year I became fascinated with spontaneous cell separations as a means of constructing and deconstructing visual images. Eleven years later in 1996 I found myself visualizing landscapes in the same terms. As my self-confidence grew I discovered a technique of my own. I refer to this technique as Circlism and it means to paint by diagramming an image in terms of tiny circles or figures. Words can only begin to project the idea which becomes meaningful when the viewer is in front of a full size painting.
As I proceed I feel that each painting is a further step ahead. Each painting is becoming more complex and intricate. I see me paintings as a means to achieve more complete awareness and to penetrate more deeply into contemporary perception.
All my current paintings are 48"x48" inches square which means big in relationship to the minimal images you are looking at on htis website. I am proud to say that Warrior Princess has been completed on August 21, 2006. I am very relieved to see this painting done. It took a long while to finally finish this painting!!! I will try and download some images of it at a later date.

I am still working on number 17 which I will entitle warrior princess. It is a struggle to regain the kingdom for her father. She with an army has caused chaos and anarchy, but once they have taken out the enemy she will reestablish the power of her father's kingdom where she will rule in a benevolent fashion.

I believe number 18 will be called Betrayal. It will be a story about a woman who believed she could be happy with the love of her life, but finds out that he has cheated on her. This will be the end of her belief that she could be happy. The painting will depict the infidelity, and how it has broken her heart.
