A worthy addition to anyone's library The Story of Circlism has my highest recommendation!!!

 

 

          This book guides the reader through the conception, development, and refinement of Circlism as an art form. Lovingly documented within these pages are an array of marvelously ornate and exquisite paintings by Edward Stresino. These are complemented by short stories that describe the fantastic worlds which act as a backdrop for several works of art depicted therein. His works are accompanied by his own account of the series of events, ideas, and memories which inspired and motivated him to create his very own unique style of art. By any measure this book serves as a worthy addition to anyone's library and has my highest recommendation.

       What a wonderfully appealing book. As you embark on an adventure through the works of art, you will admire the author’s unique approach to his use of color and image. Intertwined with these striking works of art, you’ll be entertained with the author’s original short stories. Another interesting aspect of this book is how the author offers a clear and precise knowledge of what was involved in this remarkable creation. My name is Edward C. Stresino. The breakthrough occurred in high school. In my sophomore year I became fascinated with spontaneous cell separations as a means of constructing and deconstructing visual images. Eleven years later in 1996 I found myself visualizing landscapes in the same terms. As my self-confidence grew I discovered a technique of my own. I refer to this technique as Circlism and it means to paint by diagramming an image in terms of tiny circles or figures. Words can only begin to project the idea which becomes meaningful when the viewer is in front of a full size painting. As I proceed I feel that each painting is a further step ahead. Each painting is becoming more complex and intricate. I see my paintings as a means to achieve more complete awareness and to penetrate more deeply into contemporary perception. Edward C. Stresino has exhibited his artwork at the Burbank Police and Fire Museum. Hangar 1018 benefiting Katrina survivors, The Pinewood Derby at Hangar 1018 in Los Angeles, and in Sacramento at the California state teacher's federal  building .

    It is amazing to me that Edward can draw these tiny circles and make such beautiful paintings out of them!

Review For The Story of Circlism by Edward C. Stresino

An absolutely delightful experience! This book is bursting with color and images. Nearly every page contains the colorful and so original artwork of the author, Mr. Stresino. He explains his style for the reader in easy to understand terms. In addition, and what makes this gem different from many other art books, is the writing. Although the book would be a wonder on its own, the inclusion of the author's original short stories pushes this effort over the top with great ease. The result is an enchanting treat for the reader. I can only hope there will be more to come in the near future from this wonderful author / artist. I recommend this book highly, for anyone regardless of their age, gender or culture. Thank you Mr. Stresino!!
