A technique that utilizes circles as a method of applying paint or any medium that one uses. The circles bring out the subject or it can also camouflage the subject. It depends on the viewer's point of view. See www.circlism.com Painting in the method of Circlism which was first discovered by me in 1985. It was used in 1996 in sketches that I made and finally in 2000 was used with oils on masonite.

The circlism technique increased their eye-catchiness.

The Story of Circlism by : Edward C. Stresino

I enjoyed seeing pictures of the

beautiful, intricate paintings.

The pictures are detailed and fanciful.

The circlism technique increased their eye-

catchiness. Also, the funny, engaging writing

style in the included short

stories makes them a fun read!

A glimpse into the creative mind of Edward C. Stresino

The Story of Circlism is an extraordinary book and a glimpse into the creative mind of Edward C. Stresino. He takes the reader on a journey that is both autobiographical and fantastical. Encouraged by the love and devotion of his father Edward C. Stresino pursued his interest in art to develop Circlism.
He discovered this technique integrating his fascination of science and art. I love all the subjects on his art because they depict universal concepts of nature and philosophical themes of ontology. His use of bold colors bring his creations to life and evokes powerful emotions.
Through The Story of Questor and The Frog and the Scorpion Stresino adds a written dimension to his brilliant art. I highly recommend this book to readers of all ages. It will inspire readers because Stresino encourages us all to honor our creativity while integrating different curriculum or while simply experiencing life! Incredible!!!

Book Review:

Stresino's origin story for Circlism is an inspiration for all artists to utilize and implement this very innovative technique. Stresino's influences of Van Gogh, Monet, Kandisky, and Picasso can clearly be seen in his artwork.  Stresino's very art like those before him, will help to define Visual Art for the 21st century and beyond!
The Story of Questor is an added bonus that gives the reader insight into the Artist's mind, and happens to create and envision a world beyond one's own very imagination for his pieces': Questor, Warrior Princess, and Questor's Labyrinth.
As a result The Story of Circlism is a special treat for all readers and Connoisseur's of Art.  The Author and Artist Stresino has simultaneously created an Art book, a graphic novel, and has reimagined the fable: The Frog and The Scorpion.  Where else could one be inspired, informed, and entertained all at once?

Book Review:

Visual artist Edward C. Stresino, in his debut, describes the origins of his artistic technique with examples and stories.
In 1985, the author, while taking a high school biology class, became extremely focused on the concept of mitosis, a form of cell division that splits a cell in two, dividing its chromosomes into two identical sets.
This inspired him to begin creating drawings composed of tiny circles. His paintings dominate the pages of this book and provide readers with vivid examples of his technique, which he calls “Circlism.”

Thanks to a very good fan of my artwork!

Dream, Nightmare, or Reality by:  Edward C. Stresino

An absolutely delightful experience! This book is bursting with color and images. Nearly every page contains the colorful and so original artwork of the author, Mr. Stresino. He explains his style for the reader in easy to understand terms. In addition, and what makes this gem different from many other art books, is the writing. Although the book would be a wonder on its own, the inclusion of the author's original short stories pushes this effort over the top with great ease. The result is an enchanting treat for the reader. I can only hope there will be more to come in the near future from this wonderful author / artist. I recommend this book highly, for anyone regardless of their age, gender or culture. Thank you Mr. Stresino!!

It is amazing to me that Edward can draw these tiny circles and make beautiful pictures out of them! Some of the titles of Edward's pictures are very enlightening for example: "Heaven & Hell", "Galaxy", "Justice for All", and "True Love." I also loved the story "The Frog & the Scorpion!" The frog and scorpion died, but the woman wins in the end. She got the necklace!

I bought your book! I am amazed by your creativity and love every story and image. It was worth every penny! So interesting and technical I love the way you feature your images to create a true thinking piece!

The Story of Circlism is a wonderful book that lead me on a journey full of fantasy and adventure. I got captured by the vivid colors and graphic pictures of Edward Stresino's artwork. I also loved the featured stories in the book. The colorful illustrations that went along with the stories took me on a kaleidoscopic roller coaster ride and set the scene on each page. I believe The Story of Circlism is a "must read" for artist, art appreciators, and for those that just enjoy a good read and a bright perspective.

        This book is absolutely Bejeweled.

The images transform the otherwise mundane to lavish effect.

Its visual imprimatur is so pronounced that it’s unable to be typecast.

The book fuels the imagination in many new ways.

Congratulations to Edward Stresino!

Since childhood I have been in love with Impressionism. Now Mr Stresino has created a new art form that inspires! His images are very colorful and detailed. This has motivated me to use circlism in my art.

What a wonderfully appealing book. As you embark on an adventure through the works of art, you will admire the author’s unique approach to his use of color and image. Intertwined with these striking works of art, you’ll be entertained with the author’s original short stories. Another interesting aspect of this book is how the author offers a clear and precise knowledge of what was involved in this remarkable creation. I feel this would be enjoyed by diverse group of people of all ages. I wish to thank Mr. Stresino for the opportunity to enjoy his story of circlism.

This book guides the reader through the conception, development, and refinement of Circlism as an art form. Lovingly documented within these pages are an array of marvelously ornate and exquisite paintings by Edward Stresino. These are complemented by short stories that describe the fantastic worlds which act as a backdrop for several works of art depicted therein. His works are accompanied by his own account of the series of events, ideas, and memories which inspired and motivated him to create his very own unique style of art. By any measure this book serves as a worthy addition to anyone's library and has my highest recommendation.

This book could also be called "Portrait of the Artist Sharing His Process". Drawing (yes!) on his knowledge of photography, biology, and mass communications Mr. Stresino introduces us to his view of existence via circles -- oooooodles of them. He also explains the why behind his innovative work. The book literally bubbles over with color and the circle of life.

Celine Wallace

Great read. His passion for his art style is motivating. Mr. Stresino's pieces are absolutely beautiful and the vivid color in them is splendid.

Tania Sanchez

The intense use of color and detail is captivating and magnificent. The use of circles in such a manner serves as a reminder of how symbolic a circle can be... the center point being the love and passion of this talented artist and storyteller. Thank you Ed for sharing your work.

Carla Najarian

Extraordinary!, Expressively Illustrated!, Fascinating Narrative!, Boundless Adventures!, Once you pick this book up you are mesmerized by the talent of Stresino, the vivid colors, patterns, and designs. The personal attention to each page is a tribute to the Artist and his elegant artwork!

Ianthe Knezevich

Edward C. Stresino has produced a volume which is a unique and wonderful mélange of his own original stories, an extensive gallery of his distinctive paintings, and an engaging description of his artistic style and process.  It all comes together in a feast of color and language that is a sumptuous treat for the eye and the mind.  There is something here for everyone, so this is a book that parents can share with their sons and daughters.  Paraphrasing a 1950's New York television host, I can heartily recommend The Story of Circlism to "ladies and gentlemen, and children of all ages!"

Jay Lieberman

The most surprising thing about The Story of Circlism, is not that it dares just to introduce us to a whole new style of painting.  It dares to create this colorful volume of stories and art which achieve a surprisingly detailed ease.  The thoughtful but hopelessly in love hero Questor eagerly takes on the quest, and captures the hearts and minds of its readers!
